CHA-RP Rental Center, Inc. was founded in 1997 by Tim and Kim Pinsonneault, after the husband and wife team purchased 2.5 acres of land at CHA-RP's current location, and constructed a 40 by 66-foot building to house the new equipment rental business.
The Pinsonneaults identified a strong need in the Champlain-Rouses Point-northern Vermont area for quality construction, commercial and residential tools and equipment for rental at reasonable rates. Until CHA-RP Rental, area residents and contractors were obliged to travel to Plattsburgh or Burlington for the equipment, tools and services they required.
The CHA-RP owners' business sense was right on the mark. It was clear from the beginning there was a solid niche market for the products and services the new company offered. Over the years, hard work and dedication have produced tremendous success.

CHA-RP has constantly expanded its inventory and physical size. In 2000, the company added 36 feet to its building size to increase storage area for equipment and tools, and to add room for maintenance work on its extensive inventory. That same year, CHA-RP entered the commercial snow plowing business. Today, the company has many contracts for commercial and industrial snow plowing throughout the region.
The locally owned and operated business further expanded its operations in 2001 with the initiation of "truck and driver" services for large-scale transportation of products and commodities.
In 2007, CHA-RP entered the business of hauling large quantities of timber and wood chips for harvesting companies throughout the area.
Today, CHA-RP's tools, products, heavy equipment and trucking services are constantly in demand by homeowners, contractors and businesses all over the region. CHA-RP's tremendous success is -- according to President, Tim Pinsonneault -- due in large part to the dedication, expertise and skill of its employees.
